The Crystal Bar Academy

Hello! My name’s Claire, and for those of you who don’t know me, I’m the founder of The Crystal Bar and The Crystal Bar Academy, an Advanced Crystal Healer, Astrologer, author and educator. I’m also the person behind the courses, the lessons, the community and much of what you see here, so I thought I’d tell you a little bit about how it all began and, perhaps more importantly, where I hope we’re heading next. When I say we, I mean those who occasionally help behind the scenes and of course our learners around the world.✨

My dream really did start with crystals, when I opened The Crystal Bar on 27th November 2019, driven by a love of crystals and a belief that all of the incredible knowledge surrounding them should be shared, not made to feel complicated or out of reach. I could never have imagined where that decision would take me. Over the years, thousands of crystals have found their way to new homes, I’ve written two bestselling books, shared countless pieces of guidance and education, and somehow this beautiful community has grown around me, filled with people who are just as curious about crystals, spirituality and the universe as I am.

As The Crystal Bar grew, so did another dream of mine, and on 17th July 2025, this The Crystal Bar Academy opened its virtual doors. I wanted to create the kind of place I would have loved to discover myself, somewhere beautiful, welcoming and exciting, where you could learn about spiritual subjects properly and in depth, but never feel overwhelmed by them. I wanted someone who knew absolutely nothing about crystals or astrology to feel just as at home as someone who had been fascinated by these subjects for years, and I wanted there to always be somewhere to go next if that curiosity grew into something more.

It still amazes me how quickly that dream has grown. Today, the Academy welcomes students from around the world, with courses covering crystals and crystal healing, manifestation, astrology, numerology and moon mastery, from those first steps of simply wanting to know more, right through to advanced practitioner training. Every course has been created with so much thought and love, and seeing people actually sitting at home, opening those lessons and learning from something that once existed only as an idea in my head will never stop feeling incredibly special.

One of the many loveliest moments so far came in 2026 when I decided to take a leap of faith and enter three of our courses into the Health & Wellbeing Awards. The Academy is already an IPHM Executive Accredited Training Provider, which I am incredibly proud of, but putting our courses forward to be independently judged still felt rather nerve racking! To then discover that all three had received awards was just incredible. Crystals for Beginners won Gold, our Foundation Certificate in Crystal Healing won Gold, and our Advanced Practitioner Certificate in Manifestation Mastery won Silver. For an Academy that had only just celebrated its first birthday, that meant the absolute world to me and gave me even more belief in what we are creating.

As wonderful as those awards are though, the part I love most will always be seeing what happens to the people who study with us. I receive messages from students who joined because they simply fancied learning something new and then discovered a passion they never knew they had. I see people move from one course to another, grow in confidence, gain qualifications, start businesses and begin working professionally with subjects they genuinely love. Sometimes learning something new simply brings a bit more magic into your everyday life, and sometimes it changes the direction of your life completely. I love that I never know which it might be when somebody first joins us.

Before The Crystal Bar existed, I worked within the NHS, and I think that part of me has followed me into everything I do now. I have always loved supporting people, and it was really important to me that the Academy felt inclusive and welcoming to everyone. You don't need to arrive knowing the terminology, you don't need years of experience and there is certainly no particular type of person you need to be to belong here. If something fascinates you and you want to know more about it, that is enough.

I also never wanted online learning to feel like you had simply bought a course and been left to get on with it. Our Learning Hub has become such a lovely part of the Academy, giving students somewhere to connect, ask questions, receive support, celebrate their progress and chat with other people who share their interests. Watching that community grow alongside the courses has been one of those unexpected pieces of magic that makes the whole Academy feel even more special.

And when I think about the future, I genuinely feel as though we are only at the beginning. I have so many ideas for where I would love to take the Academy, new subjects I would love us to explore, new courses I want to create and new ways I want to make learning even more enjoyable and accessible. My hope is that The Crystal Bar Academy continues to grow into a truly recognised home for spiritual learning, while never losing the warmth, personality and sense of community that it was built upon in the first place.

Most of all, I hope it continues to open doors for people. Maybe you will take a course simply because crystals fascinate you. Maybe astrology, numerology, manifestation or the Moon has always called to you. Maybe you will discover something you never expected to love, or perhaps one course will lead to another and, before you know it, you are standing at the beginning of a completely different chapter of your life.

I never knew where opening The Crystal Bar in 2019 would lead me either, and perhaps that is part of the magic. Sometimes you don't need to know exactly where something is going before you begin. You just have to follow the things that light you up and see where they take you.

I am so incredibly proud of everything The Crystal Bar Academy has become, but even more excited about everything that is still ahead of us. Thank you to every single person who has already become part of its story, and to everyone who will join us in the future. I really cannot wait to see where we go next.
